This morning I have been searching for new technologies that are happening at the moment to try and inspire some exciting thoughts for the new project - this one I found by Dominic Wilcox is quite a cool idea!
Shoes that guide you home...
Amazing. Something like this could be cool, but I want to make the technology something that everybody could have access too, and having special shoes would mean everyone has to buy shoes and also, everyone's tastes would be different (in which case the business has a good opportunity to diversify to suit consumers tastes, but that's beside the point!);)
I also checked out the Google Glass project - a happy side note is the guy who jumps from the airplane is hhoootttt;)
I also stumbled upon this thing called eyemap...which navigates using eye gave control. This is also amazing, though the youtube video is now after having watched the Google glasses in action.
All I can say is I can't wait to see what happens and particularly how Apple responds to this new technology. The userability of this will go a huge way in determining how well it does. Is it just voice operated? How far will it go, can something be invented which links thoughts to navigation? Blinks to clicks or zooming. Thoughts to everything. We will all have a internet chip inside us, and we can do whatever we want, when we want it. Always connected. Think: *Whats the weather for tomorrow?* and inside your eyes in an interface up pops Wellingtons weather for the next day. Finding OK501 at the victoria university campus would be a sinch.
